Fix the color schemes for Office 2013 Programs
Migrating to OneDrive for Business & Microsoft Exchange.
Hello,
At work we're planning to move from Kerio mail server to Microsoft's exchange server, also there is an idea of moving from the File server, which just has files that are being shared with everyone that is in the AD user list, to OneDrive for Business since you can work on files simultaneously with many people. However, few questions are left unanswered.
- Will exchange support shared contacts? My boss adds people he does business with to his outlook contacts, and wants others to do so aswell, and in the end have all the contacts shared with users
- Will those shared contacts have their categories? Since my boss categorizes his contacts, it would be terrible if the information will get lost.
- Is it possible to share calendars and e-mail accounts (Entire inbox, and sentbox, not just some folder)? My boss wants few people to have access to one of his accounts.
- If moving to Microsoft OneDrive for Business, will users be able to use standart Windows explorer in order to access files?
- Is ODFB available offline? Eg. If somebody brings his laptop to a place with no Internet will they be able to access data?
- If they will save that offline data, will it synchronize when they go online and what if there's a synchronization conflict?
- Does ODFB support marcos in Excel spreadsheets? (We have a huge spreadsheet table that uses a lot of macro to synchronize that spreadsheet with many other spreadsheets and to form many charts, that spreadsheet is very, very important)
-
My boss wants to buy the Office
365
Business Premium subscription, will it have Exchange & OneDrive for Business?
Benefits with upgrading from Office 2010 to Office 2013 before upgrading to Office 365?
Hi,
We are discussing an upgrade of our Office suite from the 2010 version.
The plan in the long run is to upgrade to the Office 365 version but as a stepping stone we have discussed upgrading to Office 2013 first.
Are there benefits, from a smooth deployment perspective, to upgrade to Office 2013 instead of going straight from Office 2010 to Office 365?

Office 365 University offline installation
I have got an Office 365 University subscription and I need help in installing Office 365 offline. After a bit of searching I found out that I can use Microsoft Office Deployment Tool for Click-to-Run. But I don't know which Product ID I should give in the configuration file as Office 365 University is unavailable in the list given on this website -

When following the activity using Procmon I don't see any error for the HKLM key said in the log.
Usually when installing again Project, it works and corrects all ProPlus..
But this is very annoying as I would like to deploy ProPlus and Project independently using a deployment tool like SCCM.
In this case, I was testing a machine where ProPlus was installed in an older version, never updated for any reason, and then my tool trying to install Project but in the newer version....
Thanks

MS Office attachments won't open from external sources in Office 2013
I have a client who is having an issue with MS Office attachments (.docx, .xlsx, .pptx) not opening. The error message is "[Office program] experienced an error trying to open the file". This is Office Pro Plus 2013 (no SP) on Win 7
SP1 x64. There are users on same OS with Office 2007 SP3 that are able to open attachments without issue.
I've tracked the issue down to Protected View. I've also found the acceptable answer for just about everyone that's asked is to uncheck or remove the Group Policy for "Enable Protected View for files originating from the Internet" and/or"Enable Protected View for Outlook attachments".
Unfortunatey, due to the environment that it's in, I am unable to make that change. Does anyone know of an actual fix or workaround separate to this?
Thanks,
Kiel
Extended logs for Office 365 repair operation ?
Hello,
I am deploying Office 365 in parallel of an Altiris Software virtualization solution.
Office 365 is deployed as a physical program but every time Visio starts, it makes a repair that is due to the virtualization packages that lie around.
Is there a way to know which file/reg key is causing the repair to happen ?
With Office 2010, there was such information in the events, telling exactly which file/key was causing the self-healing.
But with Office 365, is there a way to get such information ?
I already use extended logs, but there is very few information when the repair occur, indeed nothing about the cause of the repair:

Additional data connections not supported.
Hello,
I am currently using SharePoint 2013 and InfoPath 2013.
I want to create a drop down list in InfoPath that points to external data content (in this case a lookup table in SQL server).
The process works in the InfoPath "preview" mode, but when I go to publish it to my SharePoint website, I get the following error:
"Additional data connections not supported."
I've also tried deploying the data source to my InfoPath Connection library on the SharePoint website and pointing it to that, but to no avail.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
One further thing to note is that I am limited to a non-HTML5 web brower so I can't use Light Switch.
Kind regards,
Joshua
Office 2013 Group Policy Deployment
Hello,
I'm trying to deploy Microsoft Office 2013 Professional Plus using Group Policy. I'm trying to use these directions:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff602181(v=office.15).aspx
Throughout the directions, they give instructions, then follow it up by saying what to do if you're using a Windows Installer-based Office. This is probably a dumb question, but I'm confused on whether or not I'm using a Windows Installed-based Office. The setup program is a .exe file, but there are multiple .msi files in the folders.
