I imported an Access 2000 Contacts file into Access 2013. Everything looks OK with one very important exception: Two columns (Contact Type and Contact Application) allow drop down selection. The Contact Type column is fine. The problem with the Contact Application columns is that, when using the drop down feature, it now shows mysterious vertical lines that vertically blanc out a part of the drop-down selections, making only the beginning readable. i want to ask if i install MS office on a server machine, can the clients of that server machine use MS Office from the server?? instead of installing MS office individually on each client machine. so all i'm asking is if i install MS Office on my server and i want all the client to log on to the server and use MS office from the server.

We want to upgrade our 200+ clients to Office 2013 but I have encountered 2 major issues.
The first is that we have multiple sites with slow network links (less than 512k) so I need to be able to install and update from the local file server. All our file servers have an install share mapped to I: that replicates from a central location every day which is where the install files are located.
Problem is I seem to have to specify the server name for the configuration XML file to work. I have tried using the %LOGONSERVER% environment variable but this hasn't worked. I could create an xml file for each sit but I'd rather avoid it as sometimes we move computers around and I don't want them trying to update from another site and flooding the WAN link.
The second is that as we have slow links and large inboxes I need to find a way to move the email from the users 2010 inbox into their 2013 inbox. When I update to 2013 it downloads them all again. I can export from 2010 then import into 2013 but this just adds it as an additional inbox.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I have several calendar groups in Outlook 2013, if I am showing one or more calendars from a group, then click on the small triangle to minimise the group, Outlook crashes. This happens every time, not intermittently, with every group, and any calendar within it. I've just checked with a colleague and he has exactly the same issue. Is this a known issue?

Does anyone know how to view the next new email without having to actually click into it?
I have rules sent to place emails in folders when I receive a new emails.
I used to be able to click that folder and it would highlight the most recent email and I could read it with the preview pane and then click to another folder and that email would be marked as read.
It only does this for the first mail of the day when I click back into the folder it shows me the first email received that day and not the most recent which obviously is the one I am interested in.
Does anyone know of a fix for this please. I cannot seem to find an answer in the forums all they seem to do is highlight other issues I have to look forward to, I have checked my rules, I have tried changing view settings and filters. Nothing seems to work (as seems to be the case with most of microsofts products) I have a number of issues with this new look office, but this is the one that annoys me the most. I have workarounds for most of the other issues.
I would like to go back to office 2003, however this is part of a major upgrade (depending on your point of view) to our systems and as I am only an end user however I will not get a say.
If all else fails I will be blind by the end of the week and it will no longer be a concern (We have office 2013 on one screen and navision on the other) I suspect health and safety will insist on snow googles as standard equipment.
Any help or pointers from fellow sufferers would be greatly appreciated.

I guess I have a lot of bad luck with my Office.
I created the MS account with the user being my former Gmail account. Former, as I deleted that Gmail account for good, about 3 months after buying and activating Office. Of course I had no idea that is was tied to Office! Still, this wouldn't be a problem. The real problem is that I also forgot my pass for the MS account, and, of course, I can't request my pass as it goes to my former mail.
On top of that, when I created the MS account every data was typed just for fun (phone was 123.456.789, and so on), it's not my real data, as I thought I'd never need that account again. How about this mess? :)
I had a few chats with MS, some phone calls, but they kept passing me like a ball from one forum/consultant to another, and no one would solve the problem. Not even refunding works (not 100% sure, just 90%) , as I bought it from a real store, not online.
So, now, can anyone tell me how to move Office to a new MS account, or maybe can I get a download link based on the product key? Or is there any way at all to reinstall Office?
First off, I want to say I am NOT trying to move Office 2013 Pro from one computer to another, or one owner to another.
I just want to move my customer's Office 2013 Pro license from one Live ID to another, so they can all be grouped together for the company. Sound simple? I've looked everywhere to see how to do this.

I am planing to deploy Office 2013 and created a MSP File (Setup /admin) for the silent Installation - everything works fine - except the uninstallation of Office 2010. In the OCT I´ve selected the Option to remove previous Versions of Office. I can remeber that this works perfect in Office 2010 to remove Office 2007 too.
But in Office 2013 this doesn´t work anymore, the installed applications wizard (appwiz.cpl) Shows both Version of Office are installed. What is the best way to remove the old Version silently and install Office 2013? I would like to have all in one"Application" deployed via SCCM 2012 SP1.
I have successfully downloaded office but the files do not look to be complete. Can anyone verify that these files are the only ones needed.

I am having a problem running Microsoft Professional Office Plus 2013 that I downloaded free. Each time I attempt to mount the file, it says there was a problem mounting the file.

So on this domain I support, they have a KMS host which is set up correctly for Office 2013 and there is no problem with it, but recently additional licenses for Office 2013 were purchased.
On the volume licensing website, it shows Office 2013 and the number of licenses has increased as a result of the new purchase, so that is correct as well. Under license keys though there is another MAK and KMS key.
What do I do with the new KMS key? Anything? Clearly Microsoft have got the correct licensing total. Never been in a situation before where licenses were purchased incrementally like this.
