Office365 - User Name Suffix
I have an on-premise AD and Exchange server and I have recently setup Office365 and DirSync so that users who are given access to Office365 have their passwords synchronised. However I have a problem when I synchronise users their username shows asfirstname.surname@365xxx.
Also I selected hybrid setup during the DirSync configuration as I intend to continue using my on-premise exchange server for now.
Anyone Running Microsoft Audit and Control Server 2013 Successfully?
Hey there,
I'm not sure if I've missed something but when trying to access the server I get thenositeaccess.aspx
page. I’m fairly sure I’ve
set up the relevant permissions for the DB as well as the site. However, there is very little in the way troubleshooting information in the documentation.
Windows Server 2008 R2, SQL Server 2008 etc.

Hi,

When I try to install Office 2013, I get the following message (excerpt from log file):

I have tried everything I can think of, and everything on every thread I've found on related topics. No luck. If I try to start the service myself via services.msc I get the following message:
The Windows Font Cache Service service on Local Computer started and then stopped. Some Services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs. Any assistance anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated!
CSV to Excel 2013 - Issue with number format
Hi,
I use Excel 2013 to manipulate CSV files. I experienced issue with number format cells. In my CSV file there is one column that presents latitude values in format: 52.05456464. When I open my CSV file in Excel 2013 all values in that column get separator".", in this case my number is present like this: 52.054.454.464. I tried to change my cell format, and when opened the category was Number, I change it to the General but in that case I lost all "." and got 52054454464.
I also tried to open same file on other machine with Excel 2010 and file is opened correctly without issues and in cell format the category is general by default.
I hope that there is some kind of resolution for this.
Installing Office 365 on a different hard drive to that of the windows installation
Hi Guys,
I have an office 365 account and was using it succesfully on my pre-installed windows 8. My PC crashed and I re-installed windows 7 on it. I put the windows installation on my 20gb SSD and, as you have guessed, there is very little space left over on it for anything else.
I do understand the technology around the installer etc when you download from office365.com, but is there no way to work/get around this problem and install it to my 500gb HDD?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I need my office back up and running for business.

Need to Move Office 2013 Pro License to Different Live ID
First off, I want to say I am NOT trying to move Office 2013 Pro from one computer to another, or one owner to another.
I just want to move my customer's Office 2013 Pro license from one Live ID to another, so they can all be grouped together for the company. Sound simple? I've looked everywhere to see how to do this.

Office 2013 and Vector Graphics
Hola -
Office 2013 (both Word and Publisher) do NOT display (or print) vector graphics as vectors - it rasterizes them, and not well. When I insert an EMF file into Word 2013 and zoom in on the image, the line art is pixelated. When I insert the exact same file in Office 2010, the vectors are intact and the line art is smooth at any zoom scale.
Office 2013 discontinued support for CGM as well, but that's a separate issue.
As it stands, Office 2013 is useless for doing product documentation as the image quality is just terrible. Is this a bug? Or intentional?
TIA

Office 2013 Home and Business not updating
I have two PCs on my network that I bought from Dell. Both came with a license for Office 2013 Home and Business. Office trial version was already on the machines and i just registered and activated the trial version using the licenses I was given from Dell. Everything was fine until I was troubleshooting a duplicate email issue in Outlook on of the machines. At this time I noticed Office didn't appear to be on the latest version of click-to-run. I am relatively unfamiliar with click-to-run Office 2013 and the changes to how it updates. Apparently it does this automatically. Problem is these two machines don't appear to be updating at all. I can't find an update history just a version number. I found online and performed the following troubleshooting steps:
1.) Disable then re-Enable Updates by going into File -> Account -> Update Options
- this seamed to start the downloading of updates but they never installed. That window telling me they weredownloading just goes away and nothing happens.
2.) If "1" doesn't work try an Online Repair.
- the repair begins and ends before completing saying "Something happened". This effectively breaks the install anda following dialog box explains that Office was uninstalled.
3.) Re-install Office
- but have to run a cleanup tool first to remove remnants of previous install. I then find it difficult to find aninstaller that will work at all kept getting "Something happened" message. Finally Dell support found an installer thatworks. however even after the install Office will not update.
New messages show as read
I recently bought a new computer with Windows 8.1 and installed Office 2013. All of the new messages in Outlook show as already being read. Any suggestions?
Cursor contstantly showing as blue circle
Im not sure if i am in the right topic for this, but my problem is.
When i open a word document, the document opens no problem, however.
The cursor is constantly a blue spinning circle, giving the appearence that the computer is trying to load up the document. I have left it for a period of time to see if it will load up, but i have not had any success, its making typing a document very difficult.
Any suggetions,
Thanks
Disable "Outlook is using an old copy of your Outlook data file" message on startup
During deployment of Office 2013, we are intentionally disabling the users from downloading a new OST when starting Outlook. We want them to use their old OST to avoid 2,000+ users from downloading 200mb+ files from the Exchange server. Way too much overhead.
So, disabling donwloading a new OST is easy enough, but I need the "Outlook is using an old copy of your Outlook data file" warning disabled permanently. We cannot effectively disable the download of new OSTs if Outlook is causing all 2,000 of our users to call the service desk to delete their old OST.
Is there any way to disable this message via group policy/registry setting?

Outlook Password Not Working
I ma having an issue with Outlook 2013.
It seems that for some reason it will not recognize my Username and password for Synching folders.
It works for sending and receiving messages, but when it tries to synch folders it comes back as wrong.
How can this be possible, doesn't it use the same UN/ PW for sending/ receiving as synching??
Thanks in advance.

Cannot Save Word files as a PDF in Office 2013 with Office customization tool
Hello
I'm deploying office 2013 as a part of a post clone task. Using the customization tool I created an msp with the full installation (without outlook,Link, or skydrive) I noticed that I cannot save or export files as PDF files. If I do a manual install (without MSP) I can save files as pdf. I can't find anywhere in the customization tool that allows me to choose different "save as" file types. In office 2010 I used to be able to save word files as PDF files. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
