InfoPath 2013 Standalone & Office 2019 ProPlus

$

Hi There

We're experiencing a challenge with InfoPath 2013 working on Windows 10 Pro PCs running Office 2019 ProPlus. InfoPath 2013 bombs out after accepting the program's licence agreement on the "First Things First" dialog box. Any of the Office2019 ProPlus programs continue to work fine without any glitches.

InfoPath 2013 only seems to work after uninstalling Office2019 ProPlus. Is there a compatibility issue between the two and therefore InfoPath 2013 cannot...ever work with Office2019 ProPlus?

Will appreciate any feedback or assistance any one can give.

Mac: Deployment set defaults (workgroup file path)

Hello!

I want to find out if its possible (and if so how) to set the "workgroup" filepath location programatically (ie. via system profiles, or system defaults variables).

In Word you can set a "workgroup" directory where this software and other software from the Office family (ie. powerpoint, or excel) can look for corporate created template files.

We want to create several of them and add them to our sharepoint site and sync them locally to the users machines. (So they always have a local copy of it available, but it syncs newer versions automatically or get updates to individual templates)

Manually you would set it in Word > Preferences > File locations > Workgroup path.

I've asked this question previously here: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/msoffice_other-mso_mac-mso_o365b/mac-set-workgroup-template-path-programmatically/d4a939ad-0d5c-45db-b4f4-f562b8665bf6?messageId=12e61762-c047-46f0-b5b8-368a9df13a66

I already looked at the .plist file for word, but could not find that option in there. Therefore I dont know where this information is stored on my mac (so I could recreate it on other macs aswell).

Any help is appreciated.

I have a question, on my file explorer on server I have some folders that i'm looking to migrate using sharepoint migration tool into sharepoint, my question is can I transfer those files with the existing permissions on them to a SharePoint site.

For example,

I have a IT folder only Bob and John can access, I want to know if there's a way to transfer those permissions when transferring files into sharepoint using sharepoint migration so don't have to go in manually and set permissions on folders.

AD, Exchange And Office Upgrade - Office 365

$

Hi there

Our corporate domain is set up as follows

1) Our Active Directory controllers (we have 2) are both Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise.

2) Our Exchange Server is also Server 2008 R2 Enterprise, and Exchange itself is 2007 v 08.03

3) Our users all use Microsoft Office 2007 Service Pack 3.

Our company wants to transition to Microsoft Office 365. My team has been tasked with drawing up a project road map. It's not just about buying licences for 365 for our users, we need to upgrade our Domain Controllers and our Exchange first.

What I am hoping someone here can help with, are the following questions.

1) Do we begin with our Domain Controllers? And if we choose 2012 R2, how long can we expect to have no compatibility issues? Is 2016, or 2019 preferred?

2) Regarding Exchange, my question is the same. What server version, and what Exchange version, do we require in order to have complete compatibility with our migration to 365?

3) Regarding both upgrades above, should we look at software upgrades on the existing servers, or completely new installs on new hardware?

4) Once our Domain Controllers and Exchange have been upgraded, will our existing 2003 and 2008 Servers (some are SQL servers) still function normally?

5) Are there any hidden dangers that we may be unaware of?

Many thanks for your assistance everyone.

Office 2019 and Deployment issue

Hi,

We are Microsoft Partner and I have downloaded from the following site https://my.visualstudio.com/Downloads?q=Office 2019

the Office 2019. I am sure that Office 2019 version is different to my Office2019VL.

It is a ISO file and if I unzip that file, I see the following structure.

open "office directory"

open "Data directory"

I have tried to deploy office with SCCM and I want to install ONLY "word" and "excel"

Here is my config.xml file

<Configuration>
<Add SourcePath="\\sccmserver\soureces\Applications\Office2019MSDN\Office\" OfficeClientEdition="32">
<Product ID="ProPlus2019" my KEY" >
<Language ID="en-us"/>
<ExcludeApp ID="Access"/>
<ExcludeApp ID="Groove"/>
<ExcludeApp ID="Lync"/>
<ExcludeApp ID="OneDrive"/>
<ExcludeApp ID="OneNote"/>
<ExcludeApp ID="Outlook"/>
<ExcludeApp ID="PowerPoint"/>
<ExcludeApp ID="Publisher"/>
</Product>
</Add>
<RemoveMSI All="True" />
<Display Level="None" AcceptEULA="TRUE" />
<Property Name="AUTOACTIVATE" Value="1" />
</Configuration>

I run the following command

Setup32.exe /configure config.xml

and I have tried with

Setup.exe /configure config.xml

But it installed all Office applications on the client machine.

What is here wrong?

Regards

Nick
