I currently have problem with my Lync 2013 - or Skype for Business, as it's called now. It was working fine until recently, when I started getting error:

"The procedure entry point ?IID@RateMyCallModel@LyncModel@@2U_GUID@@B cound not be located in the dynamic link library lync.exe."

After that, whole program crashes. Do you have a idea how to fix it?  Thanks

I am upgrading from Office 2010 Pro to Office 2013 Pro. In my test, we discovered that the MRUs are not getting migrated over from the Office 2010 Pro applications into the Office 2013 Pro applications.   I am using the Microsoft Office 2013 OCT to do the configurations.  In the OCT, I have "migrate user settings" checked, but that did not work for the users MRUs.  I came across the following link

That suggests manually creating the Migration key with sub keys like below

I was hoping my question was quick and simple to answer; however, it seems to be more difficult than I thought.

Our company is currently using Egnyte for our enterprise storage.  I wanted to migrate from Egnyte to OneDrive via purchasing Office 365 Business Premium, but that might never happen due to integration/compatibility issues.  Egnyte has the flexibility to integrate with Outlook, destkop edition.  This means their third-party plug-in allows me to: attach files/share file links in emails, upload documents direct to Egnyte from within Outlook, and request files from other users in our company Egnyte domain.

Does OneDrive integrate with Outlook (DESKTOP version)?  This only seems to be possible with Outlook.com

I used the quick chat and called the MPN, thinking they would have some information about this.  Unfortunately, they had no clue what I was talking about.  I was assuming that Microsoft would have the same level or better integration capabilities than third-party vendors.  I feel like I missed a step or overlooked something.

Some please point me in the right direction.

When I go to the technet evaluation center (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/evaluate-visio-professional-2013) to try to download a trial version of anything, I receive the below error.  I have tried on both Google Chrome and Internet Explorer 11 in Windows 7 64 bit.  I had a conversation with the Microsoft online people and the lady I talked to got the same error, but couldn't help me.  This has been happening since yesterday.  I'd appreciate it if you could get back to me on this quickly as I am trying to evaluate Visio 2010 vs. 2013 for my company's use.

We're currently deploying Lync 2013 to out fleet using the OCT to customize where the shortcuts are created.

What we are finding is that the Skype for Business Patch does not update these icons.  It only updates the icons if they are in the default location (no OCT).

Is there a standalone Installer for Skype for Business we could apply a TRANSFORM to? Or some other method of updating all icons startmenu, taskbar etc.

My client has a .co.nz domain name, and now wishes to add a .com name - and it's available.

How is this going to work on their Office 365 account (all mail enabled users, some with mail and office suite subscriptions)?

Can I add this new domain into their Office 365 account? Or should I create a new Office 365 account. 

We just want to hook mail on this new .com domain.

For outbound mail , the users with newly created .com addys will need to be able to use Outlook, such that they can click 'From' and select either domains.

I'm unsure on how to proceed.

I am trying to update the build version of Office365 to the latest one (Skype build). I ran below command to update on one machine:

integratedoffice.exe RUNMODE modetorun UPDATEDETECTION

Now I need to run this on few machines remotely. I was wondering if there is any silent switch available to run the command in the background. Something similar to DisplayLevel=False for OfficeClickToRun.exe (post-SP1) updates.

If I have to run this upgrade on multiple machines using a script, how can I do that without disrupting the user's work?

We are getting ready to move from Office 2010 MSI to Office 365 (2013) click to run ProPlus.  Everything is ready to uninstall and install the new product. 

My question is if the Updates Enabled="TRUE" is not in the configuration.xml file will machines with the click to run office 365 pull updates from the cloud?  I had been told that the Enabled=TRUE is not needed in the configuration file as it is a default setting.  We want our machines to pull down updates from the cloud in place of providing a manual update location on our network.

We are piloting Office 365 x64 and pointing the clients to a network share (see config file below) for updates.  When we subsequently download the updates to the share the clients will not automatically install them.  If we manually do so from within an app (File > Account > Update Options > Update Now) it works fine.  The ACL and Sharing permissions allow Everyone and Domain Computers read-only access (in addition to some other ancillary accounts).  I've tried manually running the Office Automatic Updates from Task Scheduler and left the box running overnight.  I've rebooted, logged back on, closed and opened the app several times.  Nothing happens, just always sits at the current version.

  Anyone have any ideas?

I am trying to create a number of new calendars to keep different parts of my life separate.  But I can only get Outlook 2013 to make one new calendar.  Every subsequent calendar I try to make is turned into a folder rather than a calendar.  It isn't visible on the navigation pane and I can't use it.

Does anyone know how to make more than one extra calendar?  This shouldn't be this difficult.

When i get office attachments in an e-mail in outlook 2013 on a windows 8.1 pro.

The attachments don't open. And the previewer of outlook tels me that the content can not be previewed.

Any one any idea what can be the solution to open and preview these documents?

I am trying to find out if the o365 Business Premium pricing plan ($2.20 per month) comes with Power Pivot.

 I rang the support desk and was told "Business Premium is a 'business plan' so yes it does".  But what concerns me is down the bottom of the page above it talks about Professional Plus for $3.19 per month, and I know that you normally have to purchase Professional Plus to get Power Pivot.

Can anyone definitely tell me if o365 Business Premium for Non Profits includes Power Pivot?  Also does the SharePoint Online version that ships with Business Premium support Power Pivot workbooks (up to 10MB?)

Is there any concise documentation that describes how to automatically migrate Office settings from various versions (2007, 2010, 2013) to Office 365 Pro Plus?  I need to move the following for tens of thousands of users:

•signatures
•custom dictionaries
•templates
•ribbon settings
•quick access toolbars
•etc.

There are various articles that describe how to manually move various pieces (e.g. how to export the ribbon settings) but I need to know how to do all of this, for many versions of Office, for many users at once (probably via scripting).

All of my other Office 2013 applications print just fine, however Outlook crashes every single time i try to print - either to a regular or PDF printer.

Any help is greatly appreciated - i am very disappointed in the stability of the 2013 products - lots of crashing, in general.
