I've been trying for weeks now to try to get Office Professional Plus 2013 to install on Windows 8 Pro. My system has been running perfectly otherwise.

When I try to install Office 2013, I get the following message (excerpt from log file):

I have tried everything I can think of, and everything on every thread I've found on related topics. No luck. If I try to start the service myself via services.msc I get the following message:

The Windows Font Cache Service service on Local Computer started and then stopped. Some Services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs. Any assistance anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated!

Objective: Please Help.  Update an older version of Office 365 ProPlus C2R (15.0.4693.1002 shown on workstation) with the newest version of Office 365 ProPlus C2R (15.0.4711.1003)

Issue/Symptoms: SCCM reported deployment Success but Office 365 ProPlus C2R does not get updated to latest version.  When looking at the install log, main message indicating issue is "Version of client too low to install with: Have: 15.0.4693.1000 Need: 15.0.4711.1003".  Full log below.

Deployment Method: Downloaded ODT and trying to deploy the latest version to update the workstations by deploying the Office Deployment Tool (i.e. running Setup.exe /Configure XMLFile) via SCCM 2012 package deployment.

Hi all,

I'm having trouble getting the new Skype for Business to work in an APPV package. I have followed the MS recommended method  that uses the Office Deployment Tool. There were some issues with the configuration.xml file but once they were sorted out the APPV package worked well.

After deploying to a users desktop there are no issues with any of the Office products except for the new Lync or "Skype for Business 2015". When I try to run I get an error "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to close the application."

I have checked to make sure the Reg key NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation is set to 2. Any ideas?

Does the binary delta compression apply to both Internet as well as local sources?

I have my configured my computers to use local shares rather than CDN but I wanted to confirm if the binary delta compression applies even when updating from a local share.

When I download OneNote 2013 for Windows, I only get a installer which in turn downloads the whole package and then installs it. Since I would like to install OneNote on several computers, its a bit silly to download it again and again. So I wonder if I can download the whole OneNote package?

We are deploying new computers and want them to auto add an account for the Office 365 servers. However, we still have Exchange running, so autodiscovery will still find the old mail server. What can I configure in Exchange or AD to make all new Outlook setups find the Office 365 servers (without taking out our Exchange server) instead of manually entering details for several hundred computers? These are domain connected computers.

Is it possible to add app which is  available in App catalog to a site collection (office 365) through code i mean CSOM or JSOM or power shell .

I mean ,apps should made available in all sites when they are deployed to app catalog,and we are using power shell to deploy and install the apps,so need to append the code to make apps available to all site collection.

Environment is one Remote Desktop Server Session Host on 2012 r2 fully updated with a fully updated standard 2012 r2 domain controller. I have four users on Office 365 E3 Plan.

The problem I am having - the activation is not persisting across the user either logging off or opening different Office applications. When I open the Office application I get this error - http://i.imgur.com/3fLdmr7.png . If I click OK, it prompts me to Activate and then sign in, which I do. This then lets me use Word/Excel etc. If I then close Word, and re-open it I go straight back to the error message.

I followed the instructions here http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn782858(v=office.15).aspx and subseqently here http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/43419d08-4517-45e8-8cb6-ccec1b8b85bf(v=office.15)#BKMK_ConfigureCmd to install.

The SharedComputerLicensing value is in the registry and set to 1. In my %localappdata%\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Licensing I have four files {GUID}.authString, {GUID}.authString.txt.previous, {GUID}.signingCert, {GUID}.signingCert.txt.previous

I have a tried a full removal and re-install of Office and this made no difference.

I'm trying to setup a PowerShell script to automate the licensing in Office 365.  I'm working from the following link as my base and have made no modifications from the original posted content:

We are using Outlook 2013 with Exchange 2013.

When there is a recurring meeting where a single occurrence is modified this modification is not shown in the Calendar Reading Pane. When you open the meeting occurrence you will see the correct information from the updated meeting.

Any idea if there is the expected behaviour or if this is an error?

My office installation was deployed via the ODT and the below configuration file.  I see version 15.0.4719.1002 was released on 5/12 and my users are still running 15.0.4711.1003.     If I update manually from within office it works just fine, but I need these clients to update on their own.  The PC's are rebooted daily.

I am also noticing that the Office Automatic Updates task in Task scheduler shows Queued.

Any ideas why my PC's are not updating?
