We are trying to plan our O365 deployment. We will have a mix of E1 and E3 licensed users. Some of these will be sharing workstations. Some of the files they will need to access will NOT be in SharePoint, so the E1 users will need, at least, file viewers in order to open those files. So here is the question...
How do we ensure that each logged in user uses the license assigned to them, and how do we switch file associations so that the appropriate app (viewer of full-blown Office app) is opened when a file is selected?
Is there a version of Shared Computer Activation that takes care of this? Will we need to script a 'fix' for this? Can this be managed by GPOs?
And are there O365 deployment guides for IT Professionals that my team could use as a guide?
