Post-migration Outlook2016 problem "Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window."

We run Office2016 that was installed from Office365 package, but did for some time run Outlook2016 with an Exchange2010 server instead which worked flawlessly.

However, we did eventually migrate our mail from Exchange2010 (with help of migration tool Migrationwiz) to the Office365 mail, and that is where the problem started as the Outlook2016 client often refuses to start but instead shows "Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window" and also that it is out of "system resources".

Outlook /safe does not work and we have to resort to recreate the profile from scratch to make it work, but this error message does reoccur quite often.

Google did reveal that this problem seems quite common with Office2016, but I have not seen yet any explanation or solution besides recreating the Outlook profile which is not an acceptable solution.

We plan to eventually perform mailmigration in large scale, and such post-migration issues is not acceptable in such circumstances, so is this problem familiar to you and is there a solution to it?
