Our on-prem Lync servers are 2013 and won't be updated anytime soon and we're not going to cloud-based Skype for Business servers. We'd like to do Click-to-Run installs of O365 (2016 ProPlus), but without SfB 2016. Our user base loves Click-to-Call and we'll lose that going from SfB 2015 to SfB 2016 with a Lync 2013 backend. I have tested this with Office 2016 ProPlus MSI + Lync 2013 MSI and it works fine after Lync is patched to SfB 2015.
It looks like I can use <ExcludeApp ID="Lync" /> in my configuration.xml to exclude Skype for Bus 2016. That takes care of Part 1.
Is it possible to install Skype for Bus 2015 Click-to-Run along side the 2016 ProPlus Click-to-Run? I know I'll need two local source folders. What will I need in my configuration.xml? Or will I have to do 2016 as Click-to-Run and Lync as MSI?
Thanks,
Tom
