Using Excel in Office 2013, I am having trouble with Hyperlinks.
I set up a number of hyperlinks to images that would open externally. After renaming the file, however, the hyperlinks stopped working. This is without moving the file to a different location - just by renaming the file, the links broke and I manually reentered them all again.
I am trying to set the hyperlink base address now as I think this might be the best way to a solution. With the base set, the links will be saved as relative links, which means that provided the images are all stored in the same folder under the folder with the excel files in (and that positional relationship is not changed), the links should work no matter what the excel file is called and also should work even if transferred to another memory medium (maintaining the same positional relationship).
Am I right about this?
I would also be grateful if anyone could explain how to get the absolute url of a memory stick in a usb port of my pc. I currently have /WORK SHDC/WORK USB/bla bla1/bla bla2/bla bla3/bla bla4/, with the WORK SHDC being the named USB stick under Computer in Explorer window left pane. But this does not work.
