Is Excel 64-bit compatible with 32-bit?

Hi everyone, I'm considering upgrading to Office 64-bit because I am a developer that needs the extra horsepower.  I've read the MS compatibility article but still have some questions:

1.  Most (if not all) of my colleagues/end users have 32-bit version.  Will the Excel reports be compatible between the versions?  (eg 64-bit users can open 32-bit users and vice versa?)

2a.  I have macros in the reports.  Will upgrading to 64-bit cause the macros to break?

2b.  If so, if I "upgrade" the macro to 64-bit, will this break the macros for 32-bit users?

Thanks!

PS we currently have Office 2013 suite
