Word 2013 problem with delete words using cntrol + backspace and control + delete

I subscribe to Office 365.

This is a weird problem I've never encountered. I'm doing a rewrite on a 5,000 word document. This means I'm also using tack changes. Whenever I press control backspace or control delete, I delete ONLY the word, and not the included space after the word. This means being left with two spaces between the words and I have to delete one of them.

This hasn't happened in any other documents, and seems to have something to do with track changes. the same happens in every document where I track changes. In addition, when pressing control delete (or backspace) I will get to a point where the keys don't work anymore and I have to move the cursor to another spot in the document.

It also seems to be cause when making large changes when in track changes mode. This causes a large section of the document to show it has been changed. Once you do that, the problem begins. Of course, I could turn off track changes when I make large substitution, but this shouldn't happen.

Hope someone can help. The program is still useable but it definitely becomes a pain.

Thanks,

apalix
