document Text Stability

I've been using Microsoft for Office forever.  But recently I will have a document formatted and the text will warp and hide some of it...or when I print a finished document it will somehow change page format on the way to the printer.  The page breaks will change on their own.  Why? I have version 14.2.5 (121010).
