Hello everyone,
I just created a GPO which should take care of the protected view in word.
The policy is: User configuration/Policies/administrative templates/Microsoft Word 2013/Word options/security/trust center/protected view/ "Do not open files in unsafe location in Protected view."
If I set this then the gpo is correctly applied to the user and I can verify this in: HKCU\software\policies\microsoft\office\15.0\word\security\protectedview\disableunsafelocationinpv
However, in Word the option is still not set and not greyed out as it should when deploying a GPO.
If I manually change it then I see that the following registry key is changed:
HKU\%GUID%\software\policies\microsoft\office\15.0\word\security\protectedview\disableunsafelocationinpv
You can see that manually the change is made to HKU and the policy sets it in HKCU.
Why doesn't it work with the policy although I see it changing in the registry?
What is going on here?
My Lab:
1 windows 7 pro 64bit with office 2013 32bit( dutch ) downloaden from office.com/setup
1 server 2k12 R2 with gpo settings as described above.
I don't have any conflicting gpo's.
