Office 365 in branch offices (questions about synchronization, administration tasks delegation and so on)

Hi, everybody.

I hope somebody can help me with ideas, advices or links :) I have couple of ideas how to make what I want, but I guess there should be easier way to do it. I would appreciate any help.

Situation: There is a main office with AD, exchange 2010, lync 2010 (let's say it is domain.com) and a couple of branch offices (branch1.com and branch2.com) that don't have any servers at all. They use simple free email to communicate with main office and each other, and nothing else (workgroups in both branches). We administrate them using Intune. We bought Office 365 licenses for one of branch office (let's say for branche1.com).

Questions:

1) Is it possible to connect office 365 in branch office(branch1.com) with our (domain.com) exchange 2010 and lync 2010? By connecting i mean joining their address books (it would be perfect to make it a two way join) so that they could make lync calls(is it possible to make without upgrading to lync 2013 and exchange 2013?)?

2) Is it possible to give people in branch1.com ability to edit some of the files in domain.com, using office 365 tools (sharepoint workspaces or something else?)? (Is it possible to make so that people in domain.com and in branch1.com could work with the same file without VPN? Is it possible to make it happen using offline office apps, not threw the browser?)

3) When the time comes to branch2.com, how is it better: to make a separate tenant for them, or we could use just one tenant? If it would be one tenant is it possible to delegate administration for administrators in each branch? If it is separate tenant, would it be possible to make communication between branch1 and branch2 throw lync and is it possible to connect exchange adress books with each other?

Maybe there are some other ideas how to make collaboration work between domain.com and branch1.com and branch2.com? Maybe Azure can help somehow?
