Using DirSync

Hello,

Currently we have an active Office 365 subscription, which is linked to our domain controller via the Windows Essentials dashboard add-on for Windows 2012 R2 Standard. This does the job nicely of ensuring all passwords remain sync'd between the AD and O365.

I have been reading around, and it seems the best/common option is to use DirSync, as it will allow for extra features to use the single sign on servers. Ideally I would like to start putting OneDrive for business in place so users can backup files to the"Cloud"

I would like to know If I would be able to implement DirSync with an active/Production Office 365 account? I have a feeling DirSync needs to be configured before actively using Office 365?

Are there any online videos or materials that will be useful? Any information great!

Thanks in advance.
