Installation of Microsoft Visio 2013 triggers repair of Office 2010 while starting Microsoft Access 2010 + eventviewer error

Hi everyone,

I have just deployed MS Visio 2013 in test so we can deploy it to our MS Office 2010 users.
When testing on my test computers, it seems that upon opening MS Access 2010, MS Office 2010 needs to be repaired. After 1 repair, everything seems to be working fine.

But on 1 computer it keeps on asking for a repair. I let it continue, but when I try to open an MDB file, MS Access 2010 crashes.
In the eventviewer, I can find this error message:

Faulting application name: MSACCESS.EXE, version: 14.0.6024.1000, time stamp: 0x4d83e4fc
Faulting module name: ACECORE.DLL, version: 15.0.4569.1503, time stamp: 0x52b0b0fb
Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x0002c414
Faulting process id: 0x147c Faulting application start time: 0x01cf896913f4cf2b
Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14\MSACCESS.EXE
Faulting module path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\OFFICE15\ACECORE.DLL
Report Id: 6e31b101-f55c-11e3-958e-96ebcdc29817

Do you have any idea what I can do about this error? I tried the following:

  • Full Repair of Office 2010 with Visio 2013 installed ==> Doesn't work
  • Full Repair of Office 2010 without Visio 2013 installed ==> MS Access 2010 works like before, but this isn't a solution since MS Visio 2013 needs to be installed.

I have tried this repair with the original package sources or files in C:\MSOcache\GUID\setup.exe

All help is appreciated! I am new to packaging and don't want to deploy a half working package to 600 computers :)

Thanks in advance!

Kind regards!
