Hello,
I have recently heard from a colleague of mine about the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Common\Open Find\EnableDataShellCaching
He claims that he read that creating this key with a vlue of true, it supposedly improves the performane of documents opened from a network location.
While it sounds very tempting, I failed to find any information explaining exactly what exactly is it that I do by enabling this key... it's easy to guess that it save a cached version of the document locally and save changes back but i'd really like to be more sure before I choose to enable this setting across the domain.
So if anyone could supply a more technical explantion, or what happend in thier experience it would be very appreciated.
